Dawn After Night, Spring After Winter
Box Hill Trail
Post Three
As you come to each post, stop for a moment to read each prompt and build your story as you walk. You can also play this at home on an imaginary adventure.
Listen to an audio recording of each post below.
3: Creatures
As you walk, you look out for other signs of life. Do you see a flying creature, like a bee, a butterfly or a feathered bird? Or do you see a walking creature, like an ant, beetle, mouse or fox? Or maybe you just hear a noise, a call, or a moment of movement.
What did you find? Describe it for the journal.
Describe...
Their shape
Their size
Their colour
Their movement
Their sounds
Is their body hard or soft, patterned, plain? Give the creature a name.
Once you have finished your journal entry, there is a parting of the ways. You can choose your path - for the longer, more treacherous trail, continue straight ahead. For the shorter way, that is more solid underfoot, turn right, then turn right again once you come to marker 9, at the crossroads. c
