PROJECT NOTES

Find out more about this project at the Surrey Hills Arts website here!

The artists collaborated with participants from the local community of New Addington and the Surrey Hills area around Boxhill to create the game. It can be played while walking the trails in situ or while at home as an imaginative exercise; bringing the opportunity to reflect on nature to everyone.

Lyrics inspired by this landscape, written by Still Shadey, a MOBO award winning rapper from New Addington are woven throughout the game, framing each scene. His words recontextualise our experience of nature and inspired the artists throughout the process.

The game publication is both physical and digital, a free full colour illustrated downloadable booklet, also disseminated as an interactive experience on smart-phones and tablets.

Illustration & Design: Daniel Locke
Writing & Game Design: David Blandy
Lyrics: Still Shadey, (aka Luke Peters)
Nature Calling Producers: Ali Clarke & Theah Dix from Surrey Hills Arts
Artistic Producers: Claire Barrett & Hannah Chater
