Cathedral of Hope

£5.00

Currently only available to order on this webshop or at Critical Hits Zine Fair at Bonington Gallery, Nottingham, UK on Saturday March 22nd 2025.

Cathedral of Hope is a homestead for the tabletop roleplaying game ECOMOFOS‭!!‭. ‬It can be a a standalone adventure‭, ‬or used after Punks find their Glade‭. ‬The locale is a base for your Punks that can be upgraded‭, ‬or will develop in unpredictable ways by itself if not taken care of‭.‬ The homestead starts out as a small village of some small shacks around an Elder called Estaine Alloy‭. ‬As the Punks work on missions and spread word about the village‭, ‬both threats and friends will be attracted to find their way there‭. ‬Reputation is a two‭-‬sided blade for Estaine Alloy‭, ‬but with the help of the Punks they should manage to survive and grow‭, ‬perhaps even prosper‭.‬

Although there are allusions to religion in this supplement‭, ‬the Sunrise Temple is more of a laboratory to study artifacts and cures for the land than a church‭. ‬The common belief of the people is that the Sunrise Temple is a symbol of hope‭, ‬just like Estaine Alloy who leads the research into a new‭, ‬hopeful world where nature prospers‭.‬ That said‭, ‬if the Punks are not taking care of the community‭, ‬threats within might cause the village to end research in favour of prayer‭, ‬the laboratory be dilapidated and overgrown with fungi‭, ‬or overtaken by Corpos‭. ‬These changes will be random‭, ‬through‭ ‬tables added in every section‭.‬

If the Punks are taking care of the homestead‭, ‬they might find themselves working on fertilizer that can grow plants in every biome‭, ‬and will sprout any seeds that are still buried unopened within the earth‭.‬ A noble cause to aim for‭.‬

An adventure for ECO MOFOS. Run with or without prep, in one session or a few.

Caelin Araven is the author of a number of modules for systems such as Cairn, The Lost Bay and Eco Mofos, and is based in the Netherlands.
